Simeon Carr

Hi I'm Simeon. I'm the Digital Audio Technician and Composer over at TBNUK which is TV Network over here in the UK.
This means I have a very varied work life: studio and location recordings, composing, music curation, a whole lot of audio editing, mixing, FOH, monitors etc.
I am excited to hear about people like me and the knowledge we can share together! Many blessings :)

Welcome Simeon! Sounds like great variety. Are you enjoying it?
Can we see a photo of something you've worked on?

Yeah, it's great fun and keeps me on my toes.
Here are a couple of pics. One is of one of our sound galleries where we have a Studer Vista 5 console, with which we frequently use the awesome Vista Mix (or vMix) to easily balance multiple voices in roundtable discussions etc.
The other is of my on-location setup, using a Roland R88 mixer, operating a shotgun boom (sorry can't remember the mic name) as well as a mix of Sennheiser G3 and G4 packs for lav mics. One of the best features of the R88 is that you can easily solo different inputs whilst recording (something you can't do with almost all zoom recorders I believe) which is an absolute lifesaver when managing RF dropout.
