Hi All!

Hey Guys!
New member here. My Name's Drennen Anderson. I'm based/working in the greater San Diego/Los Angeles area
I went to school @ MiraCosta Community College here locally. They have a pretty good audio program, more studio/recording based than live audio but still good nonetheless. Went in with very little knowledge about Audio and took every class i could. Went from that right out into to work! Been in the industry coming up on 7 years now! Pretty much worked my way up from the bottom pushing boxes and building decks, and I would consider myself well rounded in a lot of areas because of that. Worked in local clubs, warehouse/shop gigs, in-house venues/casinos, bars/cover bands, corporate AV you name it! etc.
Last 3 years I've seen growth as a Monitor Tech and in my freelancing. Ive navigated away from bar & club bands (at least not on a regular basis) and more looking to freelance with bigger bands and festivals and being able to operate on a more professional basis with Tour Rider level equipment and venues. Also setting up my own company/LLC for my own gigs.
Ive also realized some of my shortcomings in my growth and what i need to focus on to hopefully allow me to grow further, SO I've decided to join you guys in this community!
Looking forward to learning new information and make even further progression in my skillset as an audio engineer and the opportunities that will present themselves.

Thanks!

Welcome Drennen! Wow, sounds like you’ve been through a lot already. Share a photo of something you’ve worked on recently when you get a chance.

By the way, @scott-stafford is also in your area, does monitors and FOH and RF and has experience with LLC and legal stuff in CA.
